Alex is currently a senior in the Pre-Engineering program at Lafayette High School. He is part of a university research internship program to give high school students hands-on research experience. He is currently working on expanding the 3D printing capabilities of EduceLab and designing and printing a universal mounting system for the CT scanners. The universal mounting system will allow an artifact’s mount to be used in different CT scanners, that have different specifications and mounting options, which will reduce waste created and speed up the process when scanning objects. Alex is excited to be able to help and be part of such impactful work and to be able to learn from the team. He hopes that his experience at EduceLab will expand his repertoire and help in his later pursuit of computer science and engineering.
